Sophia Shippam
Continence and Pelvic Health Physiotherapist
Director

Sophia qualified as a physiotherapist in 2009 in England with a BSc Physiotherapy with honours. After moving to Australia in 2013 she started her training in the pelvic floor and pelvic health field. Over the last few years her area of special interest has been working with those experiencing pelvic pain conditions such as Endometriosis and Vaginismus which led to the creation of Dahlia Pelvic Physio.

Sophia has a number of years' experience working in both hospital and sports settings which has given her a sound knowledge of pre-existing medical conditions and injuries. Her kind and calming nature allows patients to feel at ease quickly as she listens to their story, understanding that each person has had a unique journey with their particular condition. She provides treatment and management strategies that are based on the most current evidence in the field whilst taking a holistic approach to each individual.

Sophia commenced work with Central Coast Local Health District in October 2025 working with all continence and pelvic health conditions and the Menopause Service. At present her books are closed at Dahlia Pelvic Physio.

In 2026, Dahlia Pelvic Physio is available for Continence and Pelvic Health education in groups for patients and businesses, individual health and fitness profession mentoring, group workshops, interviews and public speaking.
